Dancing promo girls from LOLA at the Latin-themed night

Check out the pictures of our dancing promo girls working at the Latin-themed night. Danielle and Yanieke – the dancers from LOLA worked at Eclipse Premium Cocktail Bar in South Kensington. They had to partner people up and help the dance teacher to show them the moves. The event was a big success and as you can see it was lots of fun too!

Hostesses from LOLA at Harrods VIP event

Last Friday our gorgeous team of LOLA hostesses worked as Harrods in-house personal shopping assistants. The store was opened for selected guests only and our meet and greet staff welcomed 100 guests at the entrance of Harrods and on the door to the Penthouse. 

The VIP guests had music on their shopping night by Urban Soul Orchestra. Our hostesses were handing out Champagne Krug during the reception and guiding guests to their personal shopping booths. The guests had their personal shopping assistants showing them around the store. 

Our beautiful hostesses were serving and guiding the guests throughout the night and handed out goody bags as they were leaving. There was also a four part singing group singing Christmas carols on the way out. LOLA hostesses told us that the event at Harrods was a ‘unique experience’ for them and from what we heard they did a great job!

Check out the pictures from a super-fun event we worked at last week! Lauren, Niki and James from our promotional staff team had a great time promoting the Monster Slippers.

The client has asked us for ‘outgoing, confident people who will be happy to engage with people wearing just a form-fitting suit’ – as always we were happy to oblige by providing the client with the perfect people for their event!

Promotional staff from LOLA had to walk around Oxford Street dressed in nude-coloured body suits and a pair of Monster Slippers. Our promo staff were chatting to people and having lots of fun with the product.

After the event we were pleased to hear from the client saying: ‘All three were punctual, professional and delightful. They engaged with the public politely and with great humour. They did a fabulous job.’

Once again, our fabulous LOLA team delivered the results - well done!

LOLA Christmas Run 2012 begins today!

We’re thrilled to announce that the LOLA Christmas Run 2013 begins today! We are starting this exciting period at one of our favourite Christmas venues – the Tower of London. The Christmas run at Bloomsbury is starting this weekend and the events at Claridge’s Hotel, The HAC, Camden Centre, LSO, Salters Hall, OXO, Hellenic Centre, Plaisterers’ Hall and many more will follow shortly. 

As always we expect this Christmas to be the biggest ever and it looks like we’re on the right track to break another record :)

Catering staff from LOLA at new BERSHKA store launch!

LOLA’s catering staff were asked to work on the launch night of a brand new BERSHKA store on Oxford Street. Our Waiting Staff served 3 different non-alcoholic cocktails to 1000 VIP guests, invitees, fashionistas and press over 3 floors.

Everyone was treated to 15% off all the new ranges in-store, Radio 1 DJ’s pumping out the tunes, podium dancers and an amazing performance from everyone’s favourite new girl band - LITTLE MIX! All the staff looked fantastic and worked very hard to keep our important guests happy. It was an awesome event to be part of and our lovely LOLA’s did us proud - check out the feedback below from a very happy client!

Hostesses from LOLA at the Channel 4 2013 showcase

Last Thursday a lovely team of beautiful hostesses from LOLA worked at the Channel4 2013 showcase event. There was a presentation for 1000 people on the programmes C4 is scheduling for next year. Also a raft of digital initiatives was announced, including demographic and location targeting for 4oD ads. 

There was a drinks reception and great food, and the Tanks at the venue were then turned into a club where guests partied until the early hours. LOLA hostessing team were welcoming guests as they came in, directing them to the Tanks and then oversaw the smooth running of the event, including mingling with the guests!

We are very pleased to introduce you to Tom - the latest addition to our LOLA office team!

Tom spent his teenage years living in the Canary Islands and came back to England to study. He has been working part time as a LOLA waiter and supervisor while studying Philosophy at Reading University. Now that he's graduated he was keen to learn more about the events industry and just joined LOLA office in charge of Back of House staff.

Employee of the Month - October

BIG congratulations to Rachel Portwood who is our LOLA employee of the month for October and to the ‘LOLA Stars’: Azeez Agboluaje and Mauricio Acosta!

Rachel Portwood

Rachel joined LOLA Staffing exactly one year ago and she didn’t let us down once in the past 12 months. Receiving great feedback all the time, Rachel is a favourite member of staff for many of our clients including The Good Eating Company, Sodexo Prestige, Tom's Kitchen at Somerset House (Compass Group), Party Ingredients and Payal. She is also one of our regulars at Club Wembley and she once won their ‘Take a Bow’ award for her excellent customer service skills. We were also very pleased to hear that at her recent shift at VIP State Dinner at Guildhall, Rachel was picked out by a former Lord Mayor as a wonderful member of the team!  Our clients at TATE also praised how smiley and hardworking Rachel is. Other members of our LOLA catering staff team describe Rachel as ‘super helpful and friendly’. Rachel is a pleasure to work with and a real asset to LOLA Staffing!

Azeez Agboluaje

Azeez has done  nearly 90 shifts for LOLA so far, being part of our waiting staff and bar staff teams. We regularly receive excellent feedback from both our clients and supervisors on Azeez’s attitude, performance and bar assistance. Azeez is often described as ‘extremely helpful and always ready to assist’. The clients such as The Berkeley, William Norris, Touch of Taste, Zest Group and Create Food & Party Design have Azeez on their ‘favourites list’ and he is often requested back to work at their events. Great job Azeez!

Mauricio Acosta

Mauricio has worked for LOLA for almost 2 years and he will work his 200^th shift this month! He is often praised for his ‘great team work’ and positive work ethic. Mauricio is hard working, enthusiastic and committed. Event managers from Mermaid Conference Centre and Create Food & Party Design have picked him as one of their favourite staff. Well done Mauricio!

Promo girls from LOLA at Robbie Williams’ new clothing range launch!

Promo girls from LOLA worked at another exciting event on Saturday promoting Robbie Williams’ new clothing range in Westfield! LOLA promo girls were dressed in classy 50s pin-up costumes provided by the client IE Music (Robbie’s management team) and the stylists from Pretty Me Vintage took care of LOLAs hair and make-up.

Our gorgeous promotional girls did a great job enticing people to the stand in order to enter a competition to win an iPad. Two of our promotional girls were sitting in a vintage jaguar and distributing flyers out the front of Westfield to attract the potential customers.

Hostesses from LOLA at SKYFALL VIP screening for Coca-Cola Zero

Last week LOLA promotional staff worked at yet another James Bond event. It looks like agent 007 has taken a shine to our lovely girls :) This time it was a Private VIP screening of Skyfall James Bond Film and party for Coke Zero and 300 of their guests. Coke Zero have released the official 007 advert on TV, so they and their chosen guests were invited to preview the film before the public release.
The evening began with champagne and canapé reception at Gaucho restaurant within the O2 Arena Greenwich. All guests received VIP badges and goodie bags. LOLA hostesses Eleanor and Alissa were responsible for welcoming guests and directing them from the O2 entrance to the Gaucho reception. The guests had their photos taken by professional paparazzi next to the James Bond cut out. Inside Gaucho LOLA hostesses Aneliese and Chiara directed guests to either the Casino (where you could win a skywalk above the O2 arena) or the prop bike from the Skyfall movie that Daniel Craig rode on!!!
Once guests enjoyed their drinks and Gaucho canapés, our promo girls escorted them to the Cineworld private screen to watch the film.
Our promo girls looked glamorous and beautiful as always. Job well done!

Event Staff from LOLA at SKYFALL premiere after-party!

Promotional staff and catering staff from LOLA worked at the James Bond SKYFALL movie premier after party on Tuesday night and what an amazing event it was! Event staff from LOLA were the first point of contact for over 1000 VIP guests who attended the glamorous after party including: Daniel Craig, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Minnie Driver, Emeli Sande, Kelly Brook, Miranda Hart, David Walliams and many more. After having their hair and make-up done, 100 hostesses and hosts from LOLA were ready to meet and greet the A-list celebrities. Our catering staff team was also there serving some delicious canapés. Hot smoked salmon, caviar salad, red snapper, roasted duck, beef Carpaccio, beef Wallington, pomegranate jelly, rhubarb crumble… the food selection was fantastic! LOLA waitresses were serving Bollinger and cocktails all night – “shaken, not stirred” :) ‘Skyfall’ the new Bond song by Adele was played in the background and the guests could watch the clips of the film on the big screens. Some say it was one of the best film premiere after-parties in recent memory and we were very happy to be part of that amazing night! Towards the end of the night Daniel Craig came to the kitchen to thank our staff for their excellent service. We were expecting you, Mr Bond..

Promotional Staff from LOLA at the DELL Expo

Here are our lovely promo girls and promo guys working at the DELL Expo at Emirates Stadium last week! Each member of our promotional staff team was looking after a 20 seater theatre area where DELL seminars were taking place. LOLA staff were directing visitors to their seats, handing out literature, collecting feedback forms and assisting the guests – always with the smile on their faces!

LOLA’s Olympic Staff Medallists 2012!

A big round of applause goes to Dixon Castro (GOLD), Deimante Luksyte (SILVER) and Chiemele Akoma (BRONZE) who were chosen the top performers of London’s 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Event Staffing Season!

Dixon Castro – GOLD medallist of London 2012 in ‘LOLA’s Best Event Staff Member’

Dixon has received an impressive number of positive feedbacks from clients and LOLA senior team during the Olympics and Paralympics. Dixon worked on a bar at 2 of the busiest venues of the Summer 2012: the House of Nations – Tower of London and at H. Forman & Son’s Restaurant. Dixon adapted really quickly to the vibrant atmosphere of both venues being one of the most pro-active and hard-working staff members there. Other members of LOLA’s catering staff team describe Dixon as a ‘great team player’ and our supervisors say he ‘gets on with any task you throw at him’. Dixon is a very good barman and the clients are always impressed by his diligent work.

Deimante Luksyte – SILVER medallist of London 2012 in ‘LOLA’s Best Event Staff Member’

Deimante was one of the top performers at the VIP Olympic Hospitality Centre in the Olympic Stadium for SMART Hospitality. On the busiest days at the venue, Deimante was invaluable in helping to make the service run smoothly. She was always eager and proactive. The clients have also described Deimante as a very intelligent worker ‘working ahead of things that needed to be done’. Deimante is not only an excellent catering staff member but also a good friend to all of her colleagues. No matter how hard the shift is, everyone loves being around always smiley Deimante.

Chiemele Akoma – BRONZE medallist of London 2012 in ‘LOLA’s Best Event Staff Member’

Chiemele was an absolute star during the Olympics mainly working at the Africa House and for Sodexo Prestige at the Olympic Park. Chiemele made himself irreplaceable very quickly with event managers often asking him to stay to the very end of the event. He is very hard-working and always willing to offer a hand. Chemiele is an outstanding member of our bar staff and waiting staff teams. His friends from our catering staff team say he’s a ‘real joy to work with’.

LOLA catering staff at The Royal Hospital Chelsea

Last Thursday the catering staff from LOLA worked at a fantastic costumed event for Mustard Catering at The Royal Hospital Chelsea. Our waiting staff were serving over 200 guests during the splendid fundraising dinner for Sir John Soane’s Museum. The venue looked outstanding and so did our staff. Waiters and waitresses from LOLA wore the outfits especially designed for them by the London School of Design. Everyone seemed to enjoy the special atmosphere of the evening and our staff received lots of praise. A special mention goes to Belle Taylor whose service was particularly impressive for the guests and for the client. Well done Belle!

Promotional Staff from LOLA at the ITV Game Show - 'My Man Can'

Our promotional staff have recently worked on the new ITV Game Show with Mark Wright and Melanie Sykes! The exciting brand new show is called ‘My Man Can’ and is due to be aired in 2013. 

‘My Man Can’ is an exciting project where girls send their boyfriends onto the show to compete in various challenges. Promotional staff from LOLA were involved in those challenges competing with the contestants.

LOLA promo girls did an amazing job taking part in the Culinary Challenge. International foods were brought in by our promotional girls representing countries from around the world including China, Britain, Germany, France, India and Morocco. Each of our promo girls looked stunning wearing a traditional dress of the country they represented. Take a look at the pictures! 

Promotional guys from LOLA did a great job too taking part in the Arm Wrestling Challenge (!) Boyfriends (the contestants) had to compete against our promo guys - all varying sizes. Apparently it was lots of fun – we can’t wait to see it on TV!

Our promotional staff had a great time and the ITV guys were a pleasure to work with. Not to mention that Mark Wright was very popular with the boys and girls. 

We bet ‘My Man Can’ will become your favourite show as soon as it’s aired on ITV! LOLA Team most certainly won’t miss one episode!
