Burns' Night Extravaganza at Vinopolis
Here are a few pictures of the hospitality staff from LOLA working on the bar and serving guests at last night’s Burns’ Night Extravaganza at Vinopolis.
Carolina and Piran from LOLA were also there to celebrate the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Burns’ Night in the Great Halls had everything that a traditional Burns’ Supper required, including haggis (traditional Scottish dish), Scotch Whisky and the recitation of Burns' poetry.
Guests were welcomed by a piper at the entrance. Then the traditional Selkirk Grace was said before LOLA event staff served the starter (Cock-a-Leekie soup) along with one of many 16 year old Scotch Whiskies. The piper played bagpipes and everyone stood and clapped as the chef brought in a haggis on a large dish. Address to the Haggis was recited and then our waiters served the main course. Carolina and Piran had haggis for the first time and they loved it! However Piran’s favourite was the dessert – clootie dumplings which were paired with a fine Glenfiddich 14 year old Whisky.
After coffee and another toast, this time with a Talisker Whisky, guests moved onto the dance floor as Ceilidh Music played. Burns’ Night at the Great Hall was very traditional to the very end as everyone sang Auld Lang Syne.
We had a blast last night thanks to the amazing hospitality of Vinopolis! We’d also like to thank our LOLA staff who did a fantastic job!

LOLA Event Staff at One Marylebone
Here are our fantastic LOLA staff at One Marylebone last Friday night. The venue looked spectacular! LOLA staff set up the tables to then serve the drinks and the dinner. Amazing venue, delicious food from Create Food & Party Design and excellent service from LOLA Staffing made that night perfect!
Livery Dinner at Plaisterers' Hall
Here are a few pics of the LOLA livery trained staff serving the guests at the Plaisterers’ Hall last Thursday. Our cloakroom attendants were also there to assist the guests. Everyone made sure that the service was up to the highest standards at that Livery Dinner.

LOLA Christmas in January Staff Party
Thank you to all you amazing LOLA’s that came out and joined us for our regular belated Christmas party in January.
It’s an opportunity for us in the office team to catch up with the many faces of the company that do such a fantastic job day in day out. We often don’t get the chance to say thank you – so a BIG thank you. 2011 was a great year for the company and we’d be nowhere without you (obviously!).
I hope everyone enjoyed the night and special mention to our ‘Internal Affairs’ division for picking the venue, stressing about the organisation and ultimately arranging what I think was the best staff party yet.
Also a ‘shout out’ to Hot Frosty for his impromptu rap set. Brilliant! I wasn’t surprised our office team knew all the lyrics (we play Hot Frosty on a daily basis!) but it seemed we were not the only Hot Frosty fans in the house. Everyone knew the lyrics!
On behalf of Dean, Kate, Carolina, Piran, Diana, Paula, John-Michael, Andreea, Eve, Madre, Steph and myself a very late Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and we hope you have a successful and a fun year in 2012.
