LOLA promo staff for the NHS campaign

Take a look at the pictures of our promotional staff members working for the NHS at their ‘Choose well’ campaign. The event happened at The Exchange Mall in Ilford last Thursday . A pair of our promo staff were helping to raise the awareness of the danger and cost of the incorrect use of NHS emergency services for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. ‘A&E is for real emergencies’ – was the main message of the campaign.

Catering staff from LOLA at The Mermaid

Take a look at the pictures of LOLA event staff serving drinks and canapes at The Mermaid last night. LOLA Staffing was one of the proud sponsors of The Mermaid’s launch and the guests were served by our smiley catering staff. Everyone enjoyed the fantastic entertainment by a stand-up comedian Patrick Monahan and a ladder banging band - Slam. The food provided by Create Food & Party Design was great, dessert station being our favourite!

100 days to go until the Olympics opening ceremony – We’re ready!

On 27th July, in exactly 100 days, the eyes of the world will be on London. The capital seems to be ready to welcome millions of guests from around the world – and so are we! With thousands of the event staff in our team (most of them accredited specifically to work at the Olympic venues), we can’t wait for the Games to begin. Building on the experience and capacity over the past few years, we were continuously having the record numbers of staff at the events year after year. But this year it won’t be our records that we will be most excited about. It will be the records broken by the greatest athletes that we’ll be thrilled to see. In the Summer 2012 we will take part in the greatest sports celebrations on Earth. We’ll be there in the centre of the action, enjoying the amazing atmosphere and the excitement of the Games. We will also be happy to make sure the event staff from LOLA adds a lot to the positive experience the visitors will take home from London. Come on London, together we can make the history!

People Performance Partnership - The Concerto Group Conference 2012









Here we are: the LOLA office team in all our… glory (?) Don’t worry, it’s not what we look like every day, we actually consider ourselves as exceptionally attractive to be completely honest ;) The pictures you are laughing at are from the Concerto Group Conference 2012. We went to Newport, Wales for 2 days at the beginning of the month to meet all of LOLA’s sister companies from the Concerto Group and to hear what they are up to these days. The entire group is obviously excited about the Olympics and we were happy to see everyone in high spirits and ready to rule the events world this summer (like we always do!). We were pleased to see that it’s not only LOLA growing rapidly but the whole Concerto family gets bigger and bigger every year. And there’s no better way to get to know everyone than to P-Party together. 
P-Party (P for People, Performance and Partnership) was a great chance for fancy dress and become Pirates, Porcelain Dolls, Pencils, Punks, Pensioners, Parisians, Pantomime characters and.. Poor People for a night. Yes, P for Poor People, original huh? Now you can see that there are some good, fun reasons behind those embarrassing pictures. In fact we won the ‘Best Dressed Team’ award! It was not the only award we were proud to get that night, we were also announced ‘Best Team in a Supporting Role’ – YAY!
Big thanks to Mask Events for organising such a great conference this year. It was lovely to see everyone. We can’t wait for the next year’s conference already!

LOLA Hostesses at the Publican Awards 2012

Check out the pictures of 12 gorgeous hostesses from LOLA Staffing at the Publican Awards 2012! The great ceremony was held last Tuesday in the Grosvenor House Hotel for 1,200 guests from the top pub companies and key pub industry suppliers.

Promotional girls from LOLA met the host of the ceremony - comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Carr. They’ve held that moment in the picture - take a look!

Big winners on the night included: Young's, which won Best Managed Pub Company (150+ sites) and Best Accommodation Operator; and G1 winning 2 awards as well - Best Managed Pub Company (10-150 sites) and Best New Site for the Corinthian Club in Glasgow.

Employee of the Month - March

Eme Essien

BIG congratulations to Eme Essien who is our LOLA employee of the month for March!

Eme is one of LOLA’s fantastic event staff. She’s worked for LOLA Staffing since June 2009 and is one of our most experienced catering staff and part of the LOLA Elite Team. Eme usually works on a position of ‘VIP Supervisor’, and she performed excellent at her first Event Management shifts.

AXA, Panasonic, Barclays, Helfords Media, The Halo Group and BUPA are just a few organisations that have benefitted from Eme’s great service.

We always receive positive feedback about Eme from our clients who describe her as a ‘standout performer’ and a person who ‘is not afraid to take initiative’.

Friends of Eme who had the pleasure to work with her at many events also praise Eme saying how ‘enthusiastic, hard-working and pleasure to work with’ she is.

Also special mention to Tatjana Vassiljeva who has been nominated as the ’LOLA Star’ this month and as a result we’re happy to offer a pay increase.

Payal's 20th Birthday!

Take a look at the pictures we took last night at the 20th birthday of Payal - our sister company from the Concerto Group. Diana, Piran, John, Madre, Steph and Eve from our office were there to celebrate with Payal on their big day. The venue – Delfina was decorated in the theme of a Mumbai Street Party and it looked absolutely amazing! There was a great selection of Indian food. Chickpea curry and tandoori salmon were delightful but our favourite was without a doubt Payal’s carrot cake - to-die-for! Event staff from LOLA were there too of course, serving the delicious food and drinks to the guests.

It was a truly great night! Thank you Payal and Happy Birthday once again!

Our Smurfettes: Yvette, Tina and Ivana looked gorgeous in their girly blue dresses and cute Smurf hats. Employee of the month

BIG congratulations to Jonathan Jubb who is our LOLA employee of the month for February!

Jon has worked for LOLA since September 2010 and he is part of our Elite Team. Jonathan is an experienced bartender and LOLA supervisor. He is also Livery Service trained. His wide spectrum of skills makes Jon one of our most reliable and valued staff members.

Mitsubishi, Sky Atlantic, GFK and Eurostar are just a few organisations that have benefitted from Jon’s great service. He’s worked at countless amazing London event venues including Syon Park, Wembley Stadium and Chelsea FC, The Honourable Artillery Club, Tower of London, OXO Tower, Tate Modern, One Marylebone, Fulham Palace and many, many more… He’s also been an amazing Bar Manager at Salter’s Hall, Camden Town Hall and Hellenic Centre.

Friends of Jon who had the pleasure to work with him at many events say that ‘a shift with Jubby is always fun as he’s not only an excellent worker but also a great company to have on a long shift’
