LOLA at the Toy Fair

The LOLA promotions team has returned to its childhood and had a blast helping out at the Toy Fair.

Toy Fair is the only dedicated toy, game and hobby exhibition in the UK. The show is celebrating its 58^th anniversary in 2011 from 25th-27th January, following its return to Olympia's Grand Hall in 2010.

Exhibitors - ranging from the large internationals to the new start up companies have been once again showcasing thousands of brand new toys, games and hobbies to the UK's largest gathering of toy industry professionals. And the LOLA promotional staff have been on hand to help promote the coolest new toys around.  

Toy Fair provides visitors with a real overview and insight into a fun, innovative and exciting industry, as well as providing a great networking opportunity and the chance to touch, feel and experiment with the products of the future.

Most importantly, IT’S FUN!

LOLA Comedy Referees

Imagine you are a comedy referee giving out subtle alcohol advice before, during and after a local Dagenham FC match. Fun and cheeky but not overzealous, remember DON’T get in their faces, or annoy the supporters, maybe just some soft advice…..

This was a fun, slightly frightening task the LOLA Promotional Staff were contracted to do at last week’s big match.

The general message is that we understand that football fans enjoy a drink or two with the football, but try to drink in moderation, or do simple things to keep healthy, like having a night off the booze, missing a round or drinking some water (read the booklet for info).

Seems sensible, right? Good work LOLA lads you survived despite the uniform!

Christmas Season is in Full SWING!

Here’s a couple of LOLA Catering Staff doing there thing at Plaisterers Hall. Trying to survive the manic Christmas Run. PLEASE DON’T SNOW YET!!!

We’re into the busiest week of the year for event staffing and promotional staffing and so far so good (except for a few train delays).

Tron Legacy after Party at the Tate Modern

LOLA Event Staff were dressed in some wild Tron-inspired outfits with Felix B, one of the duo who form Basement Jaxx pounding in their ears at the Tate Modern for the Tron Legacy after party.

Disney’s Tron: Legacy was always going to impress, and the production design and original soundtrack from Daft Punk did not disappoint. The LOLA staff really gave the huge crowd something to talk about as they looked glamorous and turned heads as usual. Our promotional models were dressed as characters from the movie and surrounded by multiple lasers which filled the gigantic space while the heavy bass of Basement Jaxx created a great party.

The room had Flynn’s Arcade set up where you could play the new Tron: Evolution on Xbox or go and have eye-lashes done like a Siren! And of course our promotional staff were on hand to assist guests with everything they needed.

Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, and director, Joseph Kosinski were all at the party mingling with guests and occasionally even having a chat with some excited event staffing team members. 

Well done to the Tate, Disney and of course our wonderful LOLA Event Staffing team on a great night’s work!

Promotional Staff hit the streets for Habitat

Here we have the lads from LOLA braving the cold and rain for a Habitat promo. Our promotional staff reported back that the general public were ‘surprisingly friendly’ despite the freezing weather. Must have been cheered up by their big smiles! Well done boys another success for the LOLA Promotional Staff team.

The Elton John AIDS Charity Ball 2010

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Winter Ball raised almost £590,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation last Saturday night and LOLA was there to help!

The LOLA Event Staffing and Promotional Staffing teams were very excited to be involved for the third year in a row with the  The Elton John AIDS Foundation Winter Ball.

With Lily Allen sidelined and unable to perform, the man of the hour – Sir Elton himself stepped up to give a 45-minute set as part of the evening which involved a cocktail reception, dinner and auction in benefit of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Guests were treated to some of his hits and a couple of new tracks from his latest album “The Union” with Leon Russell which has debuted at Number 3 on the Billboard Album Chart.

For the past 3 years our team of wonderful hosts and hostesses, event staff and promotional staff have wined and dined some of the world’s biggest celeb names on what they all regard as the best event of the year. Beginning with a manic make up and costume session and ending with very excited event staff and guests getting a special show from Sir Elton. The event was another roaring success this year for a very worthy cause.

LOLA Event Staff were involved in a good old fashioned Hawaiian fest at the TATE Modern the other night. The hostesses looked super glamorous in their gorgeous floral outfits and leis. Here we have two of our favourite girls Valdone and Sara looking beautiful once again. Another great night and a lot of fun!

LOLA Event Staff at the Goldwell Hair Awards

LOLA sent a team of our hospitality staff to the Marquee on the Chelsea Hospital Lawn last night for the Goldwell Hair Colour Awards.

The evening kicked off with canapes and drinks on the lawn. There was no shortage of colour in the hair so I'm sure Mr. or Mrs Goldwell (whoever it is) would have been suitably impressed with the variety on show.

Following drinks on the lawn was a raunchy fashion show which lived up to the 'Naked' theme they had running for the night.

A lovely bunch of lads and lasses with 6 packs and long legs respectively kept everyone happy regardless of what tickles your fancy!
