London Triathlon 2013!

We are incredibly proud of our colleagues from LOLA Staffing and TORO Crew who competed in the London Triathlon last Saturday with some great results! They swam, they biked and they ran really really fast in the spectacular Virgin Active race concentrated around London's ExCeL Centre. Racers from LOLA, TORO and the Concerto Group companies helped raise over £8k (so far) for The National Brain Appeal. This great cause was definitely worth every ounce of effort!

LOLA Staffing gets a Twitter Boost from Theo Paphitis

We are very happy to share some fantastic news with you all! LOLA Staffing recently received a business boost from TV Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis!

Last week, LOLA Staffing tweeted Theo about our business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly. Theo re‐tweeted our message to his 260,000 followers and as a result, our business (www.lolaevents.co.uk) got 200 more followers in the first 2 days since becoming the winners. LOLA Staffing is also profiled on Theo Paphitis’ website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Winning SBS was fantastic news for LOLA and we couldn’t believe the buzz it generated! Tweets with congratulations from other businesses are coming through constantly. It is great to have support from Theo Paphitis who has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his followers.

Waiting staff from LOLA at Save the Children charity event at Roundhouse

A team of catering staff from LOLA worked at the VIP charity event last week at one of our regular venues - Camden’s iconic Roundhouse!

The event was a fundraising dinner (by Mustard Catering) for Save the Children charity. Jonathan Ross was a host of the night of ‘Funk & Soul’ attended by a lot of renowned guests including  Samantha Cameron, Ronnie Wood, Joely Richardson and many more celebrities who enjoyed the performances of the artists including Nile Rodgers, Maceo Parker, James Morrison, Lemar and Beverley Knight.

VIP cocktail waitresses from LOLA served cocktails supplied by Bulgari and champagne. Our catering staff team were also serving canapés by Mustard Catering followed by delicious 3 course dinner. Some of our favourite dishes included: prawn cocktail, duck a l’orange, and a trio of puds: arctic roll, angel delight and black forest gateaux.

The ‘Fund & Soul’ event was not only lots of fun but also very successful as £1.3m was raised for Save the Children charity!

Promo dancer girl for Burn the Floor musical

Here is our lovely promo girl Shanna who has been promoting Burn the Floor musical for the past 3 weeks.  Promotional girl from LOLA was taking promotion gifts to selected ticket agents in and around the West End. The Theatre has provided a selection of three dresses for our promo girl to wear: Silver Sequin, White/gold Fringe and Navy Blue Ballroom –all in the theme of the musical. Dressed as a dancer, Shanna was offering a charming introduction to agents for the return of this spectacular show.
